Right after the awesome guys took the tube out Sharon had some ice water, "tastes like heaven on earth" she said. "I'll never take it for granted again. I told the one guy that the PT's were coming a bit later and maybe we'd just come on out and sit around his campfire with him this weekend. We've always loved sitting by the fire. We waited the two hours and then the two PT's came in. Many of you saw my play by play version of that exchange on Facebook. They were so positive and saw immediately that Sharon had strength. We were blown away by the question, "where will you go when you leave here?" There's been at times, as I noted the other day, that baring a miracle we may not be leaving here. As they looked at her mobility they said, after she'd sat up, stood up, danced a little jig and finally sat in the chair with her little slippers on, "you'll be dancing down the hall next time we come. You are like a miracle person. Someone is looking out for you. You don't look like someone whose been on a ventilator." Tears streaming down my face. In retrospect when we answered the question “where are you going when you leave here.” with “Taiwan”. It may have sounded like we are headed home tomorrow. The moments with the PT were amazing and felt “miraculous”. There is still a road ahead for Sharon and we will see where God takes us next. After the PT’s Sharon sat in the chair for two hours playing games with her sons enjoying both winning and losing. It felt like we were on one of our long summer trips in the van, such a pleasure in life those have been. "I know I've said it before" I said, "but I like being with you people." I read Karla Winslow's epic tale of her friendship with Sharon posted on FB. We laughed and cried and Sharon said at the end, "bullseye". I'm just proud of myself for getting all the way through it. A Morrison alum came by with a stunning Tex Mex meal for the boys and I. We totally pigged out and there's plenty left over. Since the room is like the temperature of a meat locker we'll probably enjoy those for Lunch tomorrow. That's it for now. The boys are off to an apartment nearby to snooze and I'm in a pull out chair next to Sharon
