Sharon, our beloved dorm Mom, soccer Mom, and actual Mom, is sick - she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in late 2016. Over the last months, she has undergone a number of different treatment protocols. After completing her most recent protocol, although her doctor initially thought she was in remission, her cancer came back aggressively and in different forms. Due to her weakened condition from the recent treatment protocols, she is not able to re-engage the desired conventional protocols available in Taiwan for 3 to 6 months. However, because of the speed with which the cancer is moving, she can't wait for her body to recover to take action. This blog is setup to keep you up to date on how Sharon is doing.

11/7

Praying Friends,

Lana is home now for a week and Sharon’s sister Gwenn is with her.

Sharon’s white blood cell count is good and her platelets are up but she is in need of A- blood to boost the red blood cells so they will begin to produce on their own again.  The place they are at is having a hard time finding that kind of blood.  Please pray that either God will touch her own system to kick into gear and begin producing or for the provision of the amount of A- blood that she requires to show up at the door soon.  Sharon has a PET scan on Tuesday which will reveal a lot about her current situation.

This trip was intended to be a few weeks for some treatment and then return home stronger and ready to resume life.  It is clear now that this battle within her blood had already begun prior to her departure.  She continues to like where she is but the unexpected turns of this fight are beginning to wear on her I fear.   Please also pray for the lifting of her spirits and her confidence in the fact that God knows all and is in all.

A cool side blessing God has given Sharon is that Lana noticed one morning this past week that she was raising her right arm and rotating that arm from the shoulder.   This is crazy because that shoulder has been frozen for the past several months and Sharon has done zero PT to confront that problem.   God is good all the time.

Thank you all for your continued support.
